Abstract: Different translators of the same work often produce variations which, unless there appear linguistic or logical errors, can be quite readable. Should the source and target texts be put in parallel, the reliability（and referentiality for further research included） of the latter could be a greater challenge for its translator in both understanding and expression. Two versions from Dale Carnegies Lincoln the Unknown are selected for discussion in hopes of drawing closer attention from those concerned.
